Peninsula Women's Hockey Association

The Peninsula Women's Hockey Association’ was formed in 1963, and over the years, has encompassed teams from the surrounding area - Rosebud to Koo-Wee-Rup, Moorabbin to Berwick and everywhere in between.

This country association has played continuously for over 50 years; originally on Saturday afternoons on grass and now on Monday nights on turf at the Peninsula Hockey Ground at Monash University in Frankston.

PWHA is represented at Country Week, The Casey Cup, Australasian Masters’ Games and World Masters’ Games tournaments. The Association welcomes all women from secondary school age, of any skill level from beginners to experienced players.

PWHA COVID Safe expectations MONASH SPORT - 07 March 2022.

It is IMPORTANT that all players/spectators understand that MONASH SPORT will be following Monash University guidelines rather than the community sport guidelines that are currently in place. This means everyone 12 and over will need to be fully vaccinated to use any MONASH facilities.

Tech Bench / Canteen instructions include QR sign in and sighting of double vaccination status of all people entering PWHA games on a Monday Night.

The following is expected of all organisations using Monash facilities:

  • All capacity limits and density quoters removed.

  • Face masks are only required in high risk settings, including when administering first aid, when social distancing cannot be maintained in both indoor and outdoor settings.

  • All visitors to Monash Sport are required to check-in either via the Service Vic QR Code or KIOSK.

  • There must be a process in place to check and confirm the vaccination status of all officials, participants and spectators.

  • This process includes sighting of the person's vaccination status, or medical exemption (in writing & carried at all times).

  • All officials, participants and spectators may be asked by a Monash University staff member to show evidence of this information when they attend a Monash facility.

  • Participants under 12years and 2mths will be treated as fully vaccinated.
